How to buy a museum ticket online

You can buy advance tickets for exhibitions and some events in our online ticket shop. Below, you can find answers to the most common questions about buying and using tickets. We are constantly developing our new ticket shop – thank you for your patience!

Where can I access the Kiasma online ticket shop?

You can find the Tickets button in the header of our website. You can also buy a ticket by clicking the Tickets button that is visible on the webpage of each exhibition.

What payment methods are used in the online ticket shop?

Payments are transferred via the Paytrail service. The service lets you pay using online banking services or payment cards (credit/debit). Your bank statement or payment card invoice will show Paytrail Oyj as the payee.

The following payment methods are available: payment via the Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Paikallisosuuspankki banks, S-Pankki, Handelsbanken and Ålandsbanken online banking services; mobile payment via MobilePay; payment using Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Masterpass and MasterCard cards; or payment using the Walley.

Do I have to buy a ticket online? Can I buy a ticket at Kiasma?

Tickets are also sold on-site at the museum. Ticket sales at the door end half an hour before the museum’s closing time.

Can I buy an advance ticket with a Museum Card?

You can buy an advance ticket from the webshop using a Museum Card. First, when in the online ticket shop, select the date and time you want. Then, select “Booking with Museum Card”, and click the Buy button.

Please show your Museum Card upon arrival at the Kiasma.

Can I buy an advance ticket to an event at the Kiasma?

We recommend that you buy tickets for events in advance from our online ticket shop. Online ticket sales end one hour before the event, after which tickets are only sold on-site at Kiasma info.

When buying a ticket for an event, you have to select the date of the event in the calendar to be able to buy the ticket.

Where do I show my online ticket when I arrive at the museum?

Show your ticket at the Kiasma info desk. Each ticket is sold with an entry time. Entry times are staggered at one-hour intervals. Visitors can arrive at any time during the one-hour period stated on their ticket. If the entry time on your ticket is the last of the day, you should arrive promptly at the start time.

I am unable to use the online ticket I bought. Can I get a refund for an unused ticket?

The online tickets for Kiasma exhibitions are currently not sold out, so you can use your pre-bought ticket to visit us at another time that suits you. You do not need to notify the Kiasma customer service of the change in your time of arrival – just arrive at your convenience. Tickets are transferable, so you can pass your ticket on to someone else.

We will refund a ticket in cases where the fault is ours.

I have bought an advance ticket for the wrong time. What can I do?

The online tickets for Kiasma exhibitions are currently not sold out, so you can use your pre-bought ticket to visit us at another time that suits you. You do not need to notify the Kiasma customer service of the change in your time of arrival – just arrive at your convenience. Please note! This guideline does not apply to tickets for events.

Can I buy advance tickets by means of an invoice?

When you pay with Walley, you can buy tickets by means of an invoice. You can also contact the Finnish National Gallery sales:
