About the performance

The show is a psychic quest, during which the poet chatters about high society, high drama, corruption, control, powerful people and luxury goods against the backdrop of an ambient soundscore. The poet’s speech is mindless sentimental noise, that gives rise to a transgressive suggestion that people are wounds instead of moving images. The premises of the piece are the bodily experience of being drugged, altered states of consciousness during personal crises and the syntax of people who speak to themselves in metropolitan areas.

The Artist

Niko Hallikainen is a writer who makes text-based performances that confuse limits. Heat will be performed over two days on two separate floors of the museum. Attendees are free to enter and exit the show as they please.
